Hello to you Jason very good effort bud there are a few issues i can see at the mo but these are easy fix jobs....

The decals on the lid are original K.S. decals these are too light in colour and need to be replaced.

The cloth bridges between the frount of the back and frount chest armour are a bit too long the really need to be about 2" bud.

The trim around the frount of the boots could be bougth down a bit lower to cover the white stiching.

I see you have riveted the belt together it dose need to be one peice, But Don't panic there is a fix for this so you will not have to buy a new belt, lancer is to be a fun thing and not a drain on peoples pockets i'am happy to talk you thought that bud.

And maybe your under suite legs look abit baggy might need taking in a tad.

This may seam alot but they are just small tune-ups the rest of your gear is awesome bud and i'am happy with it, Top job Sir :)

Thanks for the response. I'll respond to each of your statements...

1) Decals: will order new from trooperbay

2) Cloth bridges: the problem with the bridges stems from me being fat and having a long torso. When I first built the armor I had a smaller bridge and the armor just doesn't sit right on me with my gut and man boobs. It looks like the front sits up around my throat like it is trying to choke me. I will sew up some 2" if that is what is required, but the overall look (on my body type) is much better as it is now. It is the difference in looking at me and seeing a big trooper instead of a fat trooper.

3) Boot trim: WIll do.

4) Belt: I will look for a tutorial and get right on it. If there is nothing out there, please send me instructs on what needs to be done.

5) Baggy legs: will see what I can do.

First off, please don't think I am trying to argue with you, I am only trying to have the armor look its best on me.

Just a quick photochop of what shortening the bridge would look like. Granted, this is an old photo and I do wear my belt higher now. I copied the chest and back and raised them following the natural curves of my body to give the impression of what you would see. My general impression of these 2 pieces are that the bottoms of them should be even with the webbing going straight across. If we raise just the front, the angle it would sit out at would cause the webbing to have to be at an angle downward toward the back. If we raised just the back, the webbing would be angled downward toward the front and I would have a big gap between my back and the armor since it is molded to fit in a certain position on your back. If we raised both, the webbing would be straight, but it would be almost in my arm pit. Raising either of the pieces would also cause a great deal of real estate between the bottom of my pouches and my belt. I would have to have pouches a foot long to get the look of them touching the belt. That would just not look anything like correct.

Just my 2 cents. If it is ruled that I need to shorten the bridges, so be it. I will shorten them.

Thanks for hearing me out.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Just so I am clear... In the pic below, the blue lines show the amount of cloth that covers up the top edges of the chest and back pieces. The red line shows the distance of the gap between the ends of the pieces. You are wanting me to shorten the blue areas, correct. Not have as much cloth covering the end of the armor.

If I am still missing your point, I apologize again. Long day at work, my brain is fried.

You got it bud, you Just need to shorten the blue arears so the white cloth covers the gap at 2". the red area great as i seid before the armour sits well on you :) sorry to hear you've had one of those days at work hope you have a better one tommorow

Andi is steering yo right bro, the flight suit is my main gripe with the bagginess. What I did with mine is turn it unside out and just run a stich down the inner or outer eam and in tuen that will make you suit tighter, 5 mintues work if you have a machine. Also is your fish hook the square type as it looks curved on my screen, maybe my screen though.

Stick at it bud your nearly there, you will be the first with the new tweaks to become Lancer

Thanks Marcel and Andy,

Updates:

1) New stickers ordered Thursday.

2) New bridges will be sewn tonight.

3) Will be dropping the front trim of the boot probably tomorrow.

4) Not sure what I am going to do about the belt yet. I guess I will either have to drill out the rivets, use the cement I used on my TK to glue those ends back together, and then find something to fill the old rivet holes or I will have to just buy a new one.

5) Will probably sew the legs up tonight since I will already have the sewing machine out.

By the time the stickers arrive (hopefully within the week), I plan to have everything else ready for resubmission pics.

Updates:

1) Stickers: ordered

2) Bridges: shortened

3) Boot trim: lowered

4) Belt: Contacted MC for a one piece. Have not heard back yet. Until I hear back, I may just go ahead and alter the one I have. Can't make up my mind if I want to glue the overlap that is already there or to cut off the excess and make a butt joint with a strip on the back for both to be glued to. Seems like it would be easy to break though.

5) Legs: tightened

New stickers arrived and applied them today. Only thing left is the belt. Haven't heard back from MC. If still nothing by Sat, I will start modding my current one. Will post pics of the fixed pieces probably later tonight.

Tighter legs:

(Tight as I can get them and still have the ability to sit down. Originally a TK so this is very important to me.)

The tripod is in my wife's car and she is not here. The only good way I found to take the leg pics was sitting down. Sorry.

Heard back from MC few minutes ago. New belt ordered.

I would say weather the soles/stitching on the boots just a touch just to loose the last of the stitching, just rub over some boot polish or brown/biege acrylic paint, 10 second job.

Everything else looks great now, I would say kit up and lets have a look. Reguarding your belt I personally would add some weathering over the rivits to hide them, or drill them out glue or plastic weld the belt togther, then just fill the holes with epoxy glue or abs weld paste and weather over, to hide it. You could do that in less than 30 minutes and get your submission back in mate, depending on how it comes togther id say you would clear with those little mods bro.

I was thinking of weathering it all anyway. I will probably just go ahead and weather over the rivets so you can't see them like Marcel suggested. Unfortunately, I have already sent the money for the new belt. Oh well, I will just have 2.

Will pick up some polish or paint to cover the boot threads this weekend.

As far as weathering goes, I want to be able to clean it all off and go clean whenever I feel like it. It was suggested that I use hairspray. Basically spray the area with hairspray, rub the herbs/spices/grass/dirt/whatever on the area, and then cover with another coat of hairspray. Easy to wash off when I want to. Anyone ever done this?

When I say weather you dont have to do the whole boot just go over the stitching and sole edges to darken them out to blend the stitching in with the soles, and also to dull out that line you have running round the edge as the sole should be plain. Biker boots dont have visable stitching in the movie or 2 tone soles.

As for the armour, I used earth colour pigments (the sort they use on railway train sets) dabbled on with a sponge and buffed off to what you want it to look like and then fixed with hairspray washes off easy if needed.

I also used a tooth brush and flicked paint to look like oil splats off the speeder
