Hello, all

After reading through the forum I was wondering what boot options their is out their as its seems allot of people have their own opinions on the matter as I searched for a few of them to find that they either have been discontinued or have been revamped since the thread post was done among having a hard time trying to find a size that will fit me in the US as I know a 12" will fit me in most tac boots from 5.11.

Also does anyone have a picture of what the real boots, the Kennth Coles that everyone been hunting for looks like before adding armor pieces on, just out of curiosity on the manner?

Thanks for any advice on this matter

Dude! Are u in alabama?

go round and look at mr bungles boots, its a replica, but hes got a pair of boots that are a dead ringer for the original kc boot!!

crls abt the boot are the loose-est for any cossie as no alternative is readily available. Until that changes as long as u get the colour right, ie white body, tan soles, it will prob pass. I have a thread on here to do a simple mod to get the look of the arch.

Check w ur gml though, cos unless its changed recently, it WAS mr bungle himself :)

After doing some more research and looking an my opinions on what I can find, since I have begun to run into the problem of not being able to find my size. Decided to go another route after looking at some of the older threads and thought I may look at some boots like the ones heatshock found, the PT05s, as here what I came up with as I wanted to get everyone opinion on these as I can find these usually really cheap at place I usually hit up for other costuming needs.

The tan Sidewinders look like a good start. Bearing in mind you would need to colour the boot itself white (but obviously the sole stays tan). And possibly shape the grooves in the soles slightly to get the CB look. But a great base to work with!

Thanks, as I was also thinking of the same thing for at least now till I can find some better ones or till something better comes along.

Isnt crow62 making some sweet kashyyyk replicas for about the same price as those sidewinders?

I am not going to speak for crow62, but reading through the post he has here it sounded like they are not in production or had problems with mounting the soul to the boot. But if he did go into production with them, I would most definitively go that route due to one they are already white and have the canon soul on them like the CG model.

The only reason I brought up magnum boots is I have a place close to where I live that I can usually find the boots for about half or more off MSRP, for I picked up some up just recently that usually retails for abt 125, got them for 50 bucks among in my size as that also a problem I been running into finding boots in my size as for some reason I have an abnormally large foot according to the booth manufactures for I wear I 11 1/2 wide, as I usually just go with a 12, but for some reason they are in very short supply.

Crow has started production on the boots now. He has added a thread in the for sale section. Also his discussion thread on these boots, in this sub-forum, has a link to his boot sale thread.

They are $199 USD inc. delivery I believe. But they look most impressive.

definately doing a run. Its my personal kenneth coles donated to the project. They are very nice. But cannot beat a bargain mate, $50 magnums would be easier on the pocket than $200 shoes! Would be an easy mod too.
