Jasmine33 Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 OK here are the pics of the cummerbund let me know what you guys think.
4505Marcel Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Not too bad, theres a few little tweaks though. The pouches are the wrong way round, Ideally you need to un pick the stitches at the front to add an extra one, you need 7 verticle stitch lines giving 6 raised areas, I would also say they could be a little closer together, and I cant see the inverted curve on the cod. The thong elastic doesnt look like 50mm (2") to me. Only minor issues though, your getting there :0)
Jasmine33 Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 What do you mean the pouches are the wrong way...Also im to tiny to have the 7 stiched lines with six raised ones and ill have to check the inches on the elastic strap
Boba Leo Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Also here is a shoot of my knee does it look like a lancer should? Very good detail Jasmine!!!!!!! Leo
Griffin-X Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Looks great Jasmine! Yeah, like Marcel pointed out, just re-arrange your pouches. In your pic...move the left one to the right, and right one to the left. See below:
Chex Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Looking good. And though you may be tiny, you still need seven horizontal stitches, creating six raised ribs. You'll just have to space them out to fit.
4505Marcel Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 If your concerned about the bund stitch spacing, get kitted up again get your pouches in the right place sitting up against th chest plate and then mark out where the lines need to sit. When in kit you should be able to just about see all the stitch lines between the pouches
Chef Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 It will vary from trooper to trooper, but I generally work on a spacing of an inch. If you're small (lucky you....), then it will be less than this. I can't see it being less than 3/4 inch though. Just make sure there are SEVEN stitches (resulting in 6 vertical ribs), and they are EVENLY spaced, and you can see them all between the pouches. I normally sew one straight down the middle (that will be the middle of your body when it's worn), and then do 3 stitches on either side.
Jasmine33 Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Here are some new pics of my armor finally done, and yes i know my cummerbund still needs to be fixed. I am getting a new one done by a 501st friend and hopefully it will be better. So here are the pics let me know if i got the shoulder bells done right.
BananoPower22 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 looking great! I need to learn how to tie my hair like that.. its always showing outside the helmet
Jasmine33 Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Thanks but i just threw the hair up to put all the armor on
Griffin-X Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 You look like a top notch biker scout Jasmine. I'm sure you will make little tweaks here and there but you have done a great job with your build.
Jasmine33 Posted January 1, 2012 Author Posted January 1, 2012 Thanks jim im still waiting for the helmet to come in im so exited i cant wait....
Jasmine33 Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Ok 4 weeks have gone and passed and still no helmet or email that it has been sent out arrr
Griffin-X Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 This is the hardest part. I had all my soft parts, boots, and decals wwwwaaaayyyy before my armor and helmet arrived. It makes you crazy with anticipation. I'm sure the other guys/gals can share their stories too... But...what helped me was to focus on the prize...and working on a blaster. You are almost there...!
Jasmine33 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Yeah i dont even have a blaster yet but i think im going to hold off on that for a few but would like to have one sometime.
BananoPower22 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 This is the part where you gotta dress yourself up in patience... hehe, It happened to me back when I started the journey but with a TK. I couldn't wait lol, i was happy all the time. It's happening all over again, but not at a 100%... i still haven't purchased an the armor kit... but the boots are being constructed as we speak. Ugh, it's annoying to wait so much but it is totally worth the wait! Btw Jasmine, which helmet did you get?
Jasmine33 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Juan I ordered the KS helmet but im still waiting for it he said four weeks but that didnt happen..
BananoPower22 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 wow that sucks.. I ordered my KS and it didn't took more than a week to get here. I wonder what might have happened.. have you tried contacting them to see if they've sent it or if they can provide you with a tracking number?
AdamS Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 That doesn't bode well. I'm waiting for mine at the moment as well... I was on the verge of emailing Scott to ask what the status was on the kit but I decided not to. I hope yours finds it's way to you soon. Waiting is painful.
Jasmine33 Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Oh yea we have emailed him but no reply
AdamS Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I'll try emailing him today, I'm curious if I'll get a response. I'll let you know what he says.
Griffin-X Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Stay on him, Scott is a good guy and he will come through for you.
