You need to strip the shirt of all those patches and pockets Brother .

All the Velcro patches have been removed

How big should the thigh pouches be?

Will the chest pockets work for thigh pouches?

Check out this thread. MrBungle gives the measurements at 7" long by 5" wide. And give it about an inch depth.

Depending on your height, you might have to adjust the size of the thigh pouches to look appropriate to you. Because you'll have the knee armor under the thigh pouches, and you'll have the drop pouches hanging from the belt. So, the thigh pouches have to fit somewhere between the two. It's one big puzzle, and you have to adjust the pieces to fit. Clear as mud?

The chest pockets can be used as long as they are a good enough size. If it's possible, after you get the thigh pockets on, dye it again, so the colors are a good dark brown.

Good job so far. Keep the updates coming. We're here to help! :)

Thanks for the link!

Would these work for the glove base?

I'm going to try make them but if not I'll get them from one of the vendors

Yeah, you could work with those as a base glove. As long as they are plain black, without zippers, extra decorations, or any other distractions, they should be okay. :)

You might want to talk to some Old Grumpy Guy ;0)
