Darth Voorhees
Since i put 90% of the LW helmet together without taking pics, and a few people were asking questions about it, i decided to do this little video to explain what i did so far. hopefully this will help some of you out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48vrRl98nOc Points i forgot to mention were that i used the measurement from the screen used helmet in our gallery for the center/top of the visor depth. I think it was 2.5" i forget, but its in the gallery. Also when i drilled the holes for the visor i taped the 2 pieces together till it seemed lined upas best as i could get it and drilled all the way through.

lonewolf
Thanks Lou, I am certain this will help others build this kit. Yes it is tricky and certainly not the easy option for a Biker Scout lid but I tried to get it as close to an original as I could. I think the original prop builders had the same problems as the original helmets were all built slightly differently. Great wee vid.

I thought it would be easier just saying it rather than taking pics and typing a novel lol. Yep, a little tricky, but not as scary as i was originally thinking lol. looks great...but clearly the LW is a quality product...super helpful Thanks Mark...definately a quality product. The platic is super sturdy and the comstruction technique, though a tad tricky is super solid. Thanks Lou, I am certain this will help others build this kit. I wanted to do something to help out other scouts with less helmet building experience. Im usually good with these types of things, but thats cuz ive been building models since i was 9 and building costume armor/helmets for the past few years. Its a great kit and well worth any kitchen pacing or cussing lol. Great job on it John. My fiance and her sister are going to both be doing Scouts sometime next year, so ill probably be ordering a couple more down the road! Im sure ill be building them, lol, so maybe ill shoot a vid while im building one of those haha! This vid is definatly gonna help me with my build! Thanks bro! Your very welcome! Glad i can help! chimei
i'm struggling with the visor and faceplate. the sides of the visor look so shallow and close to the cheeks...love the narrow look, but seem so tight compared to the KS i'm building at the same time. send LW a PM for advice. i'll post pics as they happen...maybe later in the week

Use screen caps to eyeball the fit. I thought the same thing at first but then when i looked at some screen caps i thought maybe it was just an illusion that the visor is deeper. Turns out, that was the case. Once its all together, it falls into place.
Eddie TK Head
..just stick with original measurements and don't compare it with any other helmet except LW or original screen used.. I've always tried to measure 10 times before cut or glue something..just MHO
