chimei
I got a set of SC armor. I was wondering about the belt. 1) what is the minimum distance between The raised "box" sections? I need to trim out some plastic to make sure to get the TD in the back. 2) Do I heat gun it and bend it into a curved shape to my waste? Or do I leave it straight and just let the webbing connect in back? I'm afraid that the tension on the single rivet will snap or that the plastic itself will snap. I'm only a 32"(33-34" waste if I've pigged out), so I may cause the plastic really bend...and I don't want to ruin the belt. Thoughts?! lonewolf
The webbing should hold the belt in position, eventually it will stay in this shape[ or crack] A heat gun could work, or put the belt in the oven for a minute or so at 150 degress approx. and watch it start to bend, take it out and hold it round your waist for a minute until it cools down. It will then be a curved shape and won't crack with prolonged bending and straightening.
4505Marcel
I used a heat gun from a local model shop for areoplanes ect, heat and bend easy. Be carefull if using a paint stripping heat gun as that could do alot of damage
TrooperVenger
Use a hair dryer if you're not sure about putting it in the oven or using a heat gun. Also it'll help if you get someone to help you with it as it's easier to have 2 spare hands to heat it whilst you hold it in place.
