Is it me or is this a recast of a K.S. mmmm.......

The way i can tell the ears dont stick out as much as thay should and are not very deep almost flat, and the lense is shaped wrong just like the factory built K.S's but it is well done,

p.s another thing just jumped out at me thay are using the same size sticker for the snout as K.S. so it dose not have the thick black line it should have "AND SINCE WHEN AS MESH IN THE EARS BEEN ACCUATE...AAARRHHH" LOL

I will need to replace decals(trooperbay?) on both, right?

I would also like to buy Lonewolf when it's available..

Well I do try and say to all new folk go with the well known makers what we all use on here, to be fair it dose look ok but photos can be deceiving, ive had someone rob me of some money over a fiberglass lid which looked ok but when i got it it was very thin and was broken you can not tell with just a photo, just to play it safe just wait for your K.S. these helmets may be very good but know one knows much about them so just save ya cash at the mo ;)

Reputable makers and quality products will always be suggested by 501st Legion members. That does appear to be a recast of a KS, or a miraculously exact copy of KS's flaws. At $275.00 plus shipping, I'd wait for your KS or order a bucket from lonewolf once they become available. Normally I ask people to not post sales links to sites without permission of the person who made the item.

Well IMAO it's looks like a copy of the Don Post scout helmet

if you look at the back of the helmet, look at the very bottom of the helmet

their seems to be a flat spot.

This area is where the Don Post rectangular raised labels have been removed before

cast a copy of the helmet.

Also another give away is where the helmet visour/faceplate joins the main body of the helmet

near the vent hole, these don line up smoothly and the main body of the helmet sticks pasts

the face plate - similar problem on the DP helmets

But overall the finish of the helmet looks good.

IMAO I've not dealt with the seller and don't know enough to make judgement on what they are

like, best keep with a helmet supplier that allot of people have dealt with in the past i.e SC, KS, MLC (v3.0)

or buy a DP or Rubbies and mod it yourself

I've got a DP & MLC v1.0 helmet in my collection, if you get stuck just PM for advice
