The Lonewolf Biker Scout lid

Recommended Posts

Hello to all! i got one of the prototype lids from john today and over the next few weeks i 'am going to do a build thread for this helmet to help folks out who may find it a bit ticky as this helmet like the film used will be in 5 parts and as far as i know at the mo John is only doing kits not finished lids

Thanks folks :D

Those are really crisp pulls. That's good to see because after doing my Republic Commando this looks like it'd be a piece of cake! Please keep us updated as I'm really keen on seeing how your build progresses.

Also, I also hate you. :P

Hay folks not had alot of time today, but got round to cutting out the back and cap two halfs of the main helmet and sanded, hopefully i'll get the inside parts glued in and the filler done tomorrow you can see what an awesome pull this is even with 3 mm A.B.S.

Hay ho, just thought i'd put a few progress pics on ;)

This is a nice lid to work on and i'am enjoying the build, i'am very impressed with the 80's design, me being an engineer idid not think the film design looked that strong but believe me you can see why the originals have lasted this long lol

I've made all the strutts inside the lid exact to the move use ones.(i have the mesurements if anyone needs them)

i did have a bit of ABS weld leak ARRRHH but i am going to paint the inside white anyway

i've cut down the visor and shaped both sides to fit using the original mesurements

Before i start putting the parts in to possition i've sanded the nose down to give it the nice crisp line like the movie scouts

This is all the parts taped ready to do all the tweeks and sanding useing film reff shots so i'am happy before a commet to glueing

That's looking REALLY good! You're making it look super easy to put together and that makes my wallet nervous... :D
