Send Doozer a pm on the ukg boards. He has a good idea. Or you can get him here under the same username. I believe he uses elastic fed through the strap with a popper on the other side of the lid. Hope this helps. Quote
Ducman82 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 i just use the elastic with the chin cup. works fine for me. no need for some elaborate scheme Quote
Guest Rogue Fett Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Lonewolf might be able to help you out on this one. Quote
Wickedfluxx Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I bypassed it completely and used ZAP pads in the bucket for stability. Fits perfectly and doesn't require a chin strap at all. Quote
Ducman82 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 i have zap pads as well, but i think i need ones that are just a hair smaller... :-) Quote
lonewolf Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I fitted a chincup and strap because the originals all had this feature. Apparently this could have been a possible scene until GL decided against showing Stormtrooper faces. It is actually quite comfortable and holds the helmet well when I find any BMX bikes to play on! The 3/4" black elastic is fed from the inner bottom slot at the side of the helmet outside then back into the helmet, through the chincup, back up and into the inner top slot then back into the helmet though the bottom slot. I fold the ends back on themselves and use a drop of glue to hold the elastic together, I am guessing this is the same method as the originals. I also think this should be a Lancer requirement as it is another fact about the costume, easily replicated. Quote
Witness Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Check out the gallery picture of a screen used helmet. You will find how they did it with the screen helmet there. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?auto...q=sc&cat=13 Quote
lonewolf Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 If you look closely the ends of the elastic are folded over and a staple is used to secure the end together! Quote
