Grantd1*
Hi guys - I'm just getting my lid together and applied the decals last night, but I'm not sure about the 'curved hook' insignia that goes on the cheek. See below top right the top black 'hooked' one and below the more 'digital' grey one. When I got mine from trooper bay a few months ago I only got the balck one at, which I applied last night - however after scanning the net I see the lower, grey 'digital' one is gfar more common. What is the difference between these insignias? Have I made a boo-boo?

That's the one used in the films and in all costuming organisations. It won't be cleared without it mate. Best take it off and apply the grey one. Also, the stripes You have there on those decals should all be the same length. Is that a picture of the decals you got or is is from a screenshot from the net? 303trooper
I copied the pic from trinket toys So the stripes on your decals are all the same length? Cool... Just get that grey detail on then and you're good to go..
Chef
The black fish hook style one is the one you find on the Licensed Rubies lids and is very very incorrect. Sorry, Grant, this one is going to have to come off and be replaced. Likewise, the black stripes should all be the same length. There is some debate over this one and the origins of the shorter lengths, but it would appear that Rubies took the reference from either a damaged lid and or a picture that had some light exposure blotting out the tops of a couple of the stripes. I'm hoping the decals he had Rob were not like the ones he tookthe screenshot from so didnt question whether they were all the same length.. They were from the lid that was preserved if I'm correct and a couple had just worn away??
