lonewolf
I have read that the boot covering was vinyl and just recently read leather may have been used, does anyone know for sure which material it actually was? Thanks.
cucblack
I think the original was made with leather. But today you can find pleather or faux leather to similar to the leather and save money.
lonewolf
Having looked at the Blu Ray 360 degree Biker Scout I now think the boots were vinyl, still not certain.

4505Marcel
Vynil would have been cheaper and easier to work with at the time, Ive always thought they were a vynil in the film
sir david
i looked at the screen caps and think it may be a lower gloss patent leather (glossy coated leather) , as i used to work in footwear years ago,i rememberwhen the shiny patent leather ladies platform shoes made a come back we made shoes in different gloss levels of patent ,looks very similar to me :0)
bjsavage7
They look identical to the same vinyl we use today, but it wouldn't totally surprise me if it were a similar, cheap patent leather, like sir david suggests. That stuff was used for everything in the early 80s. lol...I think I'll stick with the vinyl though.
