Skaught
How different is the armor? I can see the difference in the knees and of course the BARC boots/ankle armor. Is the chest cut differently? The back? The shoulders look about the same with a slightly narrower cut. What I'm wondering is how much of a Biker armor kit could I use to make a BARC? TB-1019
Hey there, Scott. I'm not the foremost expert on all things BARC, but I can pretty much tell you that the guys who have been studying this from the beginning agree that you cannot take anything from the biker scout and convert it over to the BARC without some massive modification-- to the point that is just isn't worth the trouble. There are definitely similarities in the overall design of the armor but, just as it is impractical to convert TK armor into clone trooper armor, the same holds true for biker scouts and BARC's. EDIT: That said, it seems the BARC does share some common parts with the Galactic Marines, namely, the knees and boots.

Scott Hey Scott, Quick answer....none! The only thing that is close is the chest and back. But they are way different too. The shoulders are Clone trooper bells. The Leg, knee and elbows are the same as Galactic Marine armor. Chris
TB-7076
Shoulders are also of the squary type like GMs use. As Jay already pointed out. GM and BARCs share a lot of the features. For example both have similar pant patterns execept for the barc's extra - the riding pads. But the leg pouches are of the same design. Except for the general composition scout and barc share noting - even their task and equippment is different.
TB-1019
It seems to me like BARC armor isn't so much specialized for scouts on a speeder bike, but more as a "light" armor for certain environmental conditions. The 41st Elite troopers you see walking around on Kashyyyk are the same ones you see on Coruscant at the assembly area (where Yoda lands in the LAAT). Somewhere enroute to their destination they just took off their Phase II armor and put on the BARC armor.
Skaught
Bummer. I have an extra Biker set and a BARC helmet on the way to me. I was hoping to pull something off with that but I guess not! Scott

Scott I'm not a 100% positive on this but with doing a cgi trooper i don't see why not we can't use the chest and back pieces the tank riser is diffrent but i don't see much difference from the chest and back.. were not gonna get it 100% cannon first time out..So anyone does one..that's cool in my book..heck when the 501st started they were not 100% cannon..so go for your projects guys then we can all learn from each other and add to it..
