I was wondering if anyone had some good up close pics of their snout. I'm painting the black and want to have a good example to follow. I'd appreciate any help out there. Thanks!

Here are some of my pics up on Flickr...

I have a MLCv3 bucket with a snout piece from MonCal.

There's a whole set of pics up there around my Biker Scout, so feel free to check them out :).

Most use the 3M Speedglass bolts for accuracy. In all honesty, you can get away with just about any bolt, provided that the "head" is flat and that any slot on the bolt head is completely covered.

I custom made mine using button covers from WalMart painted gray and then glued to the bolt head. Works out quite nicely.

I can't speak to KS, but for my MLCv3 all I used was Rustoleum grey primer and called it a day. It matched the sticker decals that I got.

I used Rustoleum High Performance Enamel Color: Machine Gray, and then used a matte clear coat afterwards. Matched up very well!

I've been told to use humbrol 5 by a couple of people , I've actually used it all ready and thought it looked to dark . I'm gona take the snout decal off and Just paint that and the snout so they match . Did you use the same colour to do the bolt buttons ?

Cheers

Yes I did. I have heard people suggest Humbrol 5 too. I have found that as my helmet gets dirty and weathered, the 040 looks great.
