TK6782
So after searching multiple stores, walmart, sellers shoe warehouse, shoe outfitters, marks workwearhouse, Zellers and numerous stores in the mall I found the boots I needed at my very last stop payless shoes! It was about two hours if looking buy I got a good boot even though it cost $70. I then bought white Maine vinyl from the local fabric store $25/meter. Though it was 50% off with a membership so I'm now a fabricland member. Total cost for membership and vinyl $28 I bought shoe gloo and I have a 3m spray glue for applying the vinyl. I'll let you know how it works. So far the tutorial is very simple to follow and after about two hours work the toes are glued on. I used a heat gun for warming up the vinyl and I went super fast but I did melt my first one. The calves are next. Just need to buy the heavy duty thread and Velcro. By the end of the day I think they will be completed. The boot The prep and cut Heat gun vinyl stretch and pinning the gluing Toe Trimming toe trim applied testing upper leg fit finished product does have the two sewn lines on the flap... it been a long times since I have sewn anything and I think I might make a new set and use these as backups. Only thing left is cutting out the soles but, I think that can wait as I don't even have my armor yet

asiandoood
How did the spray mount work for you? I tried it and it failed on me. The boots soaked it all up and didnt stick at all. I ended up using E-6000

4505Marcel
Not bad at all mate, I probably wouldnt of used spray glue for the toes though, as the boots bend and crease as you walk the glue is more than likely to fail as its just not up to the job, far better to use E6000 or goop, you maybe lucky though but mine came off after a few troops and you can never get them stretched again as before. But looks wise toes possibly could have done with anouther stretch near the laces, not sure if you have the dog bone trims on upside down, but overall not bad mate
TK6782
Spray glue seems to be working so far but i think ill use gloo with my next pair. As for the flap I think it's right just a little more angled. Also with the toe stretching I misaligned the flap when putting it on slightly but it was already stuck down. I think it's a pretty good first attempt anyways. Troopable for sure!
