KS Helmet Build -

Recommended Posts

Not too bad. Make sure you get a nice clean line around the lens area. I'm almost a little concerned that you might've trimmed too much from the wrap-around bit of the helmet. Make sure you check out the screen-used bucket for how it's supposed to look. There's also a thread in the Helmet forum that's all about assembling a KS bucket.

Good luck!

I did trim off too much of the wrap around. I am currently looking to try fix this mistake. I realize this helmet build is a lot harder than what I thought it would be. I am probably going to order a prebuilt helmet but will continue to build this one. The tutorial I am following is good but there needs to be more to how to fit the visor to the rest of the helmet Hope this turns out. Thanks for the info I am going to look at more pics.

You should still be able to finish this one. You haven't made any big holes where you can't hide 'em. ;)

So I realized I took too much off the back piece of the helmet near where the hinges go, so I had to build up the area to get it to look right. Need to finish sanding those areas down and then I will have to paint the helmet (was trying to avoid that) Still need to add the mesh in the ear holes and the lens. Also still waiting on decals and the snout piece from MC to arrive. Here a are few pics. Please let me know what needs improvement.
