I have looked through the forum and this is what I have gathered so far.

Flight suits are baggier, cheaper and require more work in the removal of stuff.

Motorcycle suits can be more expensive but don't require much modding and they are tighter.

The CRL even for Lancers doesn't say whether the suit should be form fitting or somewhat loose, so it is up to me as to what I would rather wear.

Am I right so far?

Ok, so question time :D

Would something like this require a lot of removal or could I use it?

What about wetsuits?

A flight suit is better than a wetsuit. The idea is that it shouldn't be baggy but it shouldn't be skin-tight. It should fit like a regular pair of pants and shirt.

While modern motorcycle suits are not really suitable, some folks (lancers included) wear auto racing suits. Some of us wear coveralls.

Ultimately, get what fits you best, is the correct size and lets you sit comfortably. ;)

As an ex-surfer, I couldn't image trooping in a wetsuit. Even a 3/2 would become uncomfortable after a while I would think. There was a guy that did a scuba scout that I think used a wetsuit, you might search the old posts and see if you could track him down and ask him how it was...

Speaking from past experience, what the Lancer review committee is looking for is the overall costume presentation. Don't think of it as buying individual parts, think of what all the parts in combination present as a final look. What you want to aim for is an aesthetic where your cummerbund and armor pieces do not force your undersuit to bunch or puff out. Flightsuits tend to do this while racing suits tend not to. Obviously, if a racing suit is too large for the wearer, it will bunch out too, but they are tailored differently than flightsuits and, again, tend not to on the average wearer.

TB-1019 that makes sense. I will have to try the flight suit before I buy and see how it fits.

Jabbasdead: :) I suspected as much. I actually considered doing a seatrooper, but it requires a lot of modding. If I ever decide to do a second armor it will be a seatrooper.
