elwyn5150
So the main purpose of the balaclava is to cover up the neck (and I know stormtrooper neckseals are not acceptable) and a secondary function is to keep the head cool under the bucket. My question is since the "face" of the balaclava isn't meant to be seen under normal circumstances, are novelty balaclavas okay? eg This skull face balaclava http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Skull-Balaclava-Str...83#ht_500wt_870
jabbasdead
If the skull chin can't be seen you should be able to use it. I had a very similar one that I wore under my motorcycle helmet for a while and used on a few bucket off pictures but lost it and never replaced it. 4505Marcel
Agreed as long as it doesnt show below the chin you should be fine, although the one you posted looks very long in the face and feel that it might show, but I guess you wont know untill you have it in hand <_>
Dart
The only thing I have to say about that one is if it's made of cotton, you'll be soaked if you're on a decently long troop. Cotton just absorbs moisture. Being that you're downunder, I might reconsider based on the comfort of wearing a wet rag on your head, hahaha! Sometimes it surprises me how much sweat there is even indoor (malls) troops). I haven't done any outdoor troops yet in my TK but will be doing a 9 km fundraising walk for the MS Society in June (our winter).
