silverBoyd
I'm in the market for Scout Armor. I have contacted KS as well as SC and can't decide which to purchase. They both look like quality. Any advice?
cblack
You will do well with either of those suits. KS and SC are both quality products.
Witness
On the KS suit, the chestplate and backplate are a little wider and more square than the film used armor, altho the KS makes an excellent helmet. SC, as well as MC both make excellent body armor. If you need contact information for those, please contact the detachment armorer bluecyclone via PM. BigDeal
I have SC and can vouch for their armor quality. The owner is really nice too! I highly recommend SC! I sent you some pics of me in my completed armor so you can get an idea what the finished product might look like.
silverBoyd
THANKS. i appreciate the advice as well as the great pics. I'm thinking of buying the SC armor and getting the KS helmet since SC is currently out of helmet kits.
c0wboi
That's exactly what I did. My KS helmet is awesome, and highly worth it. I just ordered my SC armor as well!

Wickedfluxx
I can vouch for SC armor as well. It's easy to put together and as previously mentioned the owner is very open to feedback and helps when needed. I went with the MLCv3 bucket over KS, but it's really to each their own. Both are great . I would also recommend the MC snout piece. I put that on my MLCv3 helmet and it looks awesome! Don't forget to order some cotton webbing as well if you go the SC armor route and want to achieve Lancer status. Currently, I'm in the process of making the switch from nylon to cotton (once my order comes in) and wish I had just done that to start with. You'll either want to go white or natural depending on the color of your pouches when that time comes. Chex has some great information on that entire process that I followed. Chex
SC armor and KS bucket here too. Good combo if ya ask me, though if you can afford an MLC v3 then go for it, or you can wait until LW decides to do a run on his, if he does.
silverBoyd
reading all of these posts are making me excited for ordering my kits within the next few weeks. Can't wait. Last year I finished full Mandalorian armor from scratch (lots of hard work) and now I'm really excited to start Scout Trooper armor. I'm dying to be in the 501st (Carolina Garrison). Hopefully I can join up by this summer at the latest. Also, I'm familiar with KS and SC...but what is MLCv3? Could someone please PM me so I can be in the loop. Much appreciated.
