Helmet screw covers ?

hi guys I recently got a new lid and need to cover up the sides where the screws are that open and close the front any ideas cheers :)

I have a thread on this w/ a part number and everything from Lowe's. I'll see if I can find the link.

Hi Clare, have you tried to find 3M speedglas bolts? Anything else will be inaccurate, the correct size is the same as a Pound coin if this helps. Folks use taped up washers, plastic covers , machined bolts etc.

ho thank you I didnt know you could get the speedglas bolts seperat from the welding mask the price put me rite off so cheers for the tip and thank you all :)

I couldn't find the original thread, but I did find the pic I took on my Photobucket site: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66/RPGre...pleBoltInfo.jpg

 

I just turned the existing bolt from inside to the outside and hot-glued this part onto the bolt head. The original nut holds it on the inside now.

The covers are 7/8" in diameter and about 3/32" in depth (22mm x 2.5mm)
