what shade of gray did you end up using?

Well I hope its not off, but I ended up using Rustoleum automotive primer spray paint. Light Gray

Here is the link. http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=37

Oh also FYI, the black paint I used is Citadel Paints Chaos Black. Its a really nice paint that flows well from an artist's brush.

Very neat, I would have made the black area a bit larger and gone about half way over the flat surface, this way makes the helmet look more beefy. The grey looks too light and bluey, a standard grey undercoat spray may be a better shade.Buy a decent set of decals, KS are too light and inaccurate, or just tell me to shut up.

Guys,

I used Rust-Oleum Surface Primer (Matt finish) and then did the aerator with good old fashioned Halfords Matt Black.

The snout is a Don Jarr; its a really nice cast and would recommend them to UK scouts. This lid being a DP I modded.

I agree with John that a little more black paint halfway round the flat area is needed, it can be seen in the gallery area here:

In terms of Lancer, would it be acceptable? If not I will do further mods if necessary.
