Wlamart Boots part 2

Would these boots be close enough to be approved?

Ok, I spelled Walmart wrong...admins please fix.

The soles look wrong, so I'm guessing the Lancers wouldn't approve them. I'm a n00b here, but from what I've read around the forums, screen accuracy is screen accuracy. DOH...yeah, I'm a n00b...didn't notice this was for the Kashyyyk. My comments on foot pain still stand though ;)

Other than that, I guess if you can get the leather to stand up on them right, why not. Only other thing I'll add is that the one pair of shoes I got at Walmart made my feet hurt worse than a 25 mile overnight road march...and I've done one of those. Save yourself the pain and get something of better quality, IMO.

Are you talking Scout boots or KT boots? This is in the KT section so that is what I am guessing your building.

Sorry guys..

Yes, this is for a Kashyyyk. My wife's first costume.

Is there a list of approved boots?

Kenneth Coles

Wolverines

etc

Well, you want to find something as close as possible to these:

Different ones used could be Kenneth Coles, GBX, Wolverines.

I have military boots for mine and my wife's.

Since the Kashyyyk Trooper and every other clone was CGI, we have to find something as close to what we see on screen.

I got this pic from a friend, but where it originated is a mystery.

Great pic, thanks...

Ok, I'll hold out for the correct boots. Prolly end up with the Wolverines...unless a pair of KCs shows up.

kenneth coles & bed stu's come the closest

for a time GBX journeymen did it for most

I myself haveposted 2 options in the relevant section - but they are UK based stores

IMHO- those walmart mart are prob good enough seeing how some KTs have passed clearance with similiar lloking boots.

fr a personal choice poitn of view though - I would wait, there a guy on CT.net that has already done a great clone adn animted clone boot for a reasonable price. His team is currently working on a KST/GM boot. look up crow62 over there

Ok fellows, Crow62 here, nice to share time with you, about the KC boots, we are in the developing yet, some friends of TDH give his boots to us for some days to cast the soles, those molds will come to me and will take them at soles factory, I will ask in three colors, black, white & tan. The upper shoe will go with the Pit Crew style.

Marcelo TK1389 is making for me the casts in California, we have 9uk, 9.5uk, and 10uk boots from those volunteers brothers.

If all walks well and The Force let us, we will nweed at least 8 weeks more to the final tests before start a run here and in CTn, TDH and Mandomercs. So, we are inside the timeline.

In other hand, if you in this forum can send us for a few days the other sizes that ALL we need, 11uk, 12uk, 8uk will be very helpful.

Some of you know me, but if not, you can see my tyhreads here:

Not bad. You would still have to use the dremmel to shape out the arch a bit, plus the other little parts on the sole. Then you would have just a little bit of painting to do.

If the price isn't too bad, give them a try.
