TK6918
Ok I just received an assembled KS helmet. Not sure if it was assembled by KS or the person I bought it from. Anyways, I was trying to remove the bolt/bolt covers to replace with the 3m ones and it seems stuck. Could it be glued on? Anyone got any recommendations on how to remove it without damaging the helmet?
jabbasdead
I am pretty sure that KS doesn't glue their bolts on, the person you bought it from is a different story.....Are you talking nut to bolt glued or bolt glue to helmet? HB1lazylab
If I remember right from my build they are glued on and I had to pry them off. Pry with a wide tool or put something under the tool to spread the force so you don't dent the helmet. Good luck
Witness
The gray and black covers are glued on. The are furniture slider feet. You can pry them off with a knife. The actual screw is underneath and is a simpled screw and nut through the visor and helmet.
