ozarkscout Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I'm about to start sewing the thigh straps and riding patches and had a question on how best to construct it... does the strap go 360 degrees around the leg or does it start at the front seam of the patch and continue around the outside of the leg, stopping at the back seam of the patch? Thanks in advance for your help! -Mike
Acrylikhan Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I just checked my suit.... It starts under the riding patch on the front, and ends under the riding patch in the back. Here's a picture of my suit:

lonewolf Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Anything between 1.5" and 2" is fine, I put a small stitch at the sides as well to avoid the straps from hanging badly and from ever having to adjust them.
chimei Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 a little side stitch? that's a great idea. how far down from the thigh boxes should the strap be? same level in the back as the front, or is there an angle to the way it hangs? this thread is soooo helpful
lonewolf Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I didn't gauge the distance with the drop boxes, above mid thigh approx. and straight around the thigh, no drooping.
chimei Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 How should the elastic fit? Loose, snug, a little give?
