I'm looking to buy a Helmet but there are so many different kinds out there. What would be the best Helmet for the price. As of right now I think i would buy SC Helmet, but i'm still not sure. The helmet is the most important piece of the puzzle so I want to make sure I get the right one. (Rubies is out of the question.)

Welcome aboard!! Send a PM to Bluecyclone, the detachment armorer. He will give you all the info you need. Please only refer to builders by their initials, this will be covered in the info that Bluecyclone sends you.

As to best?? That's a matter of conjecture. I plan on getting SC armor, as there is a lot of promise there. However, I really think that KS helmets are the best for the money. Well, until LW starts producing his.

It's not an easy question, no easy answer. I lurked here and read, researched and read some more before I even joined. It was probably a month after I joined that I finally commissioned a lid. KS, if you'd like to know. I still haven't commissioned my armor, as I'm not quite 100 percent sure.

Read, look at pics, and talk to your local garrison. Hopefully they have some scouts who you can look at!

Welcome!

Most people prefer the KS or MLC. I personally own a KS.

This is what mine looks like now after modifications, repainted snout, replaced greeble, weathered, etc...

Here is as it was delivered.

As Robert mentioned, Bluecyclone is your guy for more information. As David said, the most popular two out there are KS or MLC.

I own a MLC v3 myself and love it. If you have any questions regarding the helmet send me a PM and I can give you an idea of assembly.

Actually, the triktoys snout is bigger than the MC snout (the round bit). I'd honestly recommend MC's snout pieces. Get the one with the plate (I've got the hollow one) and just sand down the back at the top a bit to fit the KS bucket. I've got one and I love the way it looks.
