lonewolf Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Wow, a lot of tricky work there, good job Mike.
Guest MikeC23 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Thanks, John. Yea, it's been quite a challenge, but a ton of fun though! The first one was pretty tricky, alot of trail and error, but after I got the right needles, thread, the sewing machine dialed in and figured out the steam pressing trick, it's still a bit of work, but it went together a heck of alot smoother and faster than the first one.
Spectre5549 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Wow this is excellent! Many, many thanks for sharing!
Guest jpc3190 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 thats freakin awesome wish i had skill with a sewing machine like that good work bro
Guest MikeC23 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Thanks, Anthony. I'm hoping someone else can get some use out of it, or even help better the procedure. Actually, Justin, this is only the third time I've ever used a sewing machine in my life. Like I said...alot of trial and error and I just go real slow.
Guest jpc3190 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 well either way its way better than i could do nice work
Guest MikeC23 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I was just trying to convey that I don't have years of experience, or any type of superior sewing skills. If I can do this, anybody can.
Chex Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that was a lot of work. They look good though. Pat yourself on the back for that brother.
Acrylikhan Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 A lot of work, but totally worth it! I think anyone who got the skills to use a sewing machine, could do these mods without a hitch! Great work, Mike! New life for the JC Whitney Gloves! To the MOD staff, somebody pin this thread. We cannot afford to loose this thread!

Guest MikeC23 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks, Guys, I really appreciate that. My main intention for posting the steps and pics was to encourage others to try the mod themselves and improve upon what I've done. It was a bit of work, but necessity is the Mother of Invention, and right now, I've got more time than money.
Witness Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 MikeC23 removed it after he lost a discussion about the racing suit. I'll lock the post so it falls to the bottom.
