Darth Voorhees
My armor should be delivered to my job today or tomorrow, and since i took the day off due to back issues, i thought id sew myself the shoulder wraps/bell strap. I would need to know the width of the shoulder straps so i dont make em too long.
Jello
If I recall correctly, MC called for the straps to be one inch in width.
Darth Voorhees
thanks, im sorry though, i wasnt clear...i meant the width of the actual chest/back armor shoulder straps that the canvas need to wrap around, not the canvas. I have my finaces atin armor here but the shoulder straps seem to be almost 2" and i rewcall my old MC armor being thinner. But i wanted to be sure. Dart
My MC armor is about 1 3/4" wide with the nylon connecting strap being 1 1/2" wide.

If you ordered the complete kit from MC, almost everything you need should be in the 'mixed bag of goodies' that come with it. If you did not end up with said goody bag, I think the shoulder strap cover pieces that came with my MC kit were 2" wide and 5" long, and they were just about perfect (once folded in half lengthwise, as the MC instructions indicate). Hope this helps.
Darth Voorhees
Thanks bro, im sure they will be in there. I just have plenty of white canvas here and wanted to do a nicer sewn set that will still look accurate. I think what i did will work.. Pics will follow soon
