lonewolf
The Don Post /Rubies is a very accurate shape although a bit smaller than the original, the vinyl material that it is made of is the main problem . I don't know the history of the Don Post company, but it is pretty unlikely that the lid was made without use of the original LFL moulds. All the original details are on the Rubies so a good modded DP can look better than anything else, good job, maybe the visor could be pulled in more at the bottom. Vinyl shrinks as it cools, by about 10% or more. I think someone here had posted that Don Post's moulds were purchased by Rubies.

tuskenfett
So I tried to bring in the visor just a hair to get that real good scout curve and I think it's just too late I couldn't get anything to hold and everything is already attatched so it's gonna stay like it is

tuskenfett
I used a blow dryer to heat up the vinyl then hot glued the reinforcement wire in and check this thread http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?show...=2047&st=20 it's the best
