Just a thought Ski, would it be worth hitching your thigh pouches up a little? Would give you more clearance over the pouches on your pants' thighs, as well as may save them flapping around when you move.

Darn fine job that man! Great work, nice to see how it has all come together for you :)

I could be wrong on this, but the black outline on the tank is missing. I think.

I didnt think it was a must have. When I get brave and get the tape I will be putting one on.

Thank you. I have only worn it 2 times and I am working on a list of improvements that I need to make as well as adjustments. I will be playing with those drop boxes a little.

Looks good, but don't be shy when it comes to weathering!

I didnt do the chrome and masking method. I did use some light misting with some black. I will do more weathering when i get a chance and some tan paint. I am noticing that some parts are naturally seeing some wear and tear like the shin and toe area.

I really want to make my bicep pieces smaller first.

For a first build the best advice I got was that you will not get it right straight from the start. In as much as you will get the look, but that trims for comfort and wearability are an ongoing process. The trooper who told me that has been in his TK for 10 years now and still finds he makes the odd adjustment here and there.

So don't worry that it isn't perfect straight up. Take your time, enjoy it, and be comfortable trimming as required for comfort. No rush :)

That's cool mate ;-) reason I asked about height was ur armour looks really big and bulky the groin armour and drop boxes are hanging down very low I couldn't understand why u done it like that but height has alot to do with it I'm 6'1 and with all the kit on probably stand about 6'3 ish o I had to kinda stretch my pouches out a bit to make it all fit with out it look out of proportion !!!! :-)

LOL

me,sgtski and lonescout understand we don't like tall people.............

sgt. looking good, man. some adjustments and you will have one rocking KT.

you need weathering. the black strip on the tank, use a paint maker.

bring your thigh pouches up. they should be above thigh pockets on your pants. the cod is big, but it is big on me. i am 5' 8". you might need some velcro on the cod and pants to hold it down a bit.

making the biceps smaller, i would cut them on the side that is on the inside of your arm. take a half inch out then see how they fit. your seams glued and bondoed need to be good and solid though so they do not crack when you bend the biceps some.

the only other thing is your cumberbund pouches seam to be too thick. is there any way to sand those down on belt sander to make them thinner??

I am waiting to hear from my GML on what they think before I go making any changes......

That being said, I am getting a balaclava, removing the button on the back of the pants, thinking of some kind of velcro on the cod, raising up the thigh boxes a little bit.( I have a small issue with this since I only have so much room between my knee armor, thigh pocket and waist). I will put the tank stripe on very soon which I was thinking of using the thin black tape that they use on white boards or for marking custom paint jobs on cars, that would make the straight lines easier.

As for the cummerbund pouches, I have seen many different variations of these. Mine are based on the foam pouches by strofmos, I wrapped them in cotton duck cloth and painted them. might have added 1/8th inch to their size, which I thought would not be too much of a difference.

For the biceps, I will am thinking of how I want to do them. I am thinking about taking an equal amount off each side maybe .25 inch. Right now I am taking a little bit of a break while I wait on my GML. I'm researching my next costume and will have that finished before I go hacking into these bicep pieces.

I will weather after I get accepted and get everything right.

You clones aren't short ur still growing !!!!! ;-)

Ski what I did with my cod was to attach it to the inside of the bund and then sew a peice of velcrow on the trousers (on the bit of material that covers they fly zipper) works a treat mate and then u know it's alway in the middle when u put it on !!

I am aware that I have a few upgrades to make. But I have been accepted. now to fine tune it.

Thank you to all of the people who helped and Mr Bungle for taking the time to make a quality kit that even this new guy to costuming could put together with asking about 100 questions. And also thank you for all of the kind words of encouragement from this great community.
