How much do you trim the back bottom and top

HI before i go trimming the bottom of my SC back plate under the tank i wanted to ask how much i can trim off and what it's ment to look like any photos or advice PLEASE :rolleyes:

 

Also there's the cut out part at the top of the tank do you round it or squre it off and is it up to the tank top ?

They must have changed there moulds a bit as my SC was never that out of shape i never had to trim any of it ???

Hi there ,if you pull the back hump down really tight it should fit nice into the groove, a bit of flexing the plastic should be fine, your line at the rear neck is nice and accurate but try to keep the line as high above the hump as the shape will allow, good luck.

The top is fine really, unless you want it perfectly symmetrical. As for the bottom, Jeff from SC told me that at the most you could trim about 1/4" off the side with more material. Oh, and don't forget to paint that rivet on the bottom of the tank white.

Yeah i didnt know if the back bib part is more square than rounded? not to sure what you mean about the bottom sorry :rolleyes:

Yeah when i put the tank on the mold under the tank seemed to be slightly to big so when i tryed to stretch it the tank would not cover the under neath mold so i rivited it into the dip as much as i could but still have more dip so thats why i need to trim it scary stuff ah! :blink:
