Ive been lookin and reading alot here and I think I'm just about ready to really get going on the wifes gear

I bought a set of sc armor because the hump is more proportionate to her small frame and I have a modded dp bucket that will get her in until we can pick her up a new one got the best seamstress in the legion working on her softparts.

I was wondering if any of the other girls here have sc armor and what did they do to get the width of the chest/backplate down to fit thier frame?

My wife is about 5'4" and 120 lbs and I'll be representing her until she gets her profile approved

Thanks!

Hey Nick,

I'm smalled framed as well 5'1 almost 120lbs myself and I just got in my SC armor. I haven't put any of it together yet but I have had the privilege of trying on another short scouts SC chest piece before purchasing mine and it fit just fine she said. So as far as I know the chest and back plate don't need to be cut down on me. I believe when I was talking to Jeff at SC he said that if you're (well not you, your wife) a 34 or 36 bust you shouldn't have a problem fitting into the chest plate.

Also as Kat stated above JediJennie seems to have a great tutorial on slimming down chest plates. If you have any more questions we'll be as helpful as possible. Right now my main issue are the shoulder bells. I think they're too wide & long (unsure of how much to trim off) so you might come across this issue with your wifes armor as well.

Know what you mean about the bells I'm 6'2" and the armor fits me like a glove.

So I know I'm going to be cutting down theshoulder straps and possibly trimming the sides but what I'm after is when I heat up the chest and back plates to conform to her better it's obviously going to bow out the shelf part so how do you get the flat piece on the underside of the chest to return to it's original flat state?

I'm just a rookie here and I know there are people who could better answer this question but I don't think I would heat up the chest plates. I know it's going to bow out if you do but I honestly don't have a clue on how you would fix it. I do have one question for you that might make some difference. When you put it up against her, is she wearing the flightsuit or just normal clothing?

I trimmed quite abit off the bells, biceps, forearms and knees for my misses and then pulled in the armour a touch not much to be honest, quite abit off the shoulder bridge parts on the chest and back also.

Hi Nick & Tracy! Can't wait to see the WIP pics. Were you able to adjust the armor at all? Sorry I wasn't much help, I've heard two different things regarding my shoulder bells so I'm a tad confused myself. One thing I do know is that with the flight suit on it will add to the armor. Still might need to be trimmed up a bit though.

Rank stripes look a little long, and the pin striping on the tank look a little uneven, but that could be due to the angle. Looking good though, your wife's gonna be happy eh?

..Looking good so far. I do agree that the rank strips look a tad to long but that should be an easy fix.

For the shoulder bells did you trim it all around or just cut a bunch from the bottom?

Looks good! I think that the TD needs to be flipped around the other way, but other than that it came out great :).

Outside of the TD (as previously mentioned) looks stellar. Great job and hope you're both happy.

The td greebs go both ways. All the lightning bear shots show the circle on the left side where as the troop who chases Han into the endor troops shows it on the right

Wow, really nice job. Yes though, the TD is upside down. Flip it. The shots you mention of LB..were those mirror shots though, also showing the rank stripes on the other side? The armor on her lower arms need to be slid more to the back instead of on the side too. But yeah bro, very good job. She must be excited. The bund and pouches really help to make the armor look more filled out, cause the chest and back looked huge on her on your test shots. Or did you just heat it up and bend the sides back a little?

Looks great! You did a real nice job. That helmet looks great on her! One question about the bicep straps... are they not going through the slots on the back side?

The td will be fixed tonight (you guys were right) Her soft parts are lancer so I had the flak vest made I little wider to fill the space and the slots in the back are fixed I made the Velcro too tight and had to make new ones
