Tom_in_AZ
Anyone have an idea on how to stop the chest plate from cracking without making it look really bad? It is cracking right in the center at the top of the indentation. I do not have any extra plastic that matches on hand, but was thinking of gluing some sintra on the back and hope for the best. My only other choice if it gets bad would be to order a new chest and back plate with tank, but if I do I might seek it out from someone other than MC. MC's stuff is awesome! Don't get me wrong, and I am not complaining, just that I always thought it might be a little small for my large frame (6'1" & 280lbs) and I've had major problems with the cummerbund due to it. Thanks in advance, Tom
TB-7076
I had the problem with my MC chest plate too. Just at the lower end of the center where there is is this strange indention I have no explanation for, however due to being forced to bend slightly from the torso strapping it broke - I send it to a friend to fix it with fiberglas which worked well. Now it's very stable and he even filled the indention. I'm not sure though what type/fabricates of fiberglas and resin he used but the material MC used caused no problems with it. SC armor might be suitable for larger frames I think.

Do you think that you could post a couple of pics showing the repair? Going to PM you BTW.

Guest Amish trooper
If it is just abs all you need is a piece of cotton cut like a patch to cover the crack and some CA glue. smear the glue on the cotton an it will harden like fiberglass. We do this to out TK armor and works like a charm.
Acrylikhan
If you can, fix it from the back side with ABS cement. You'll get a better bond than with CA glue. The Cotton cloth trick works very well with ABS cement too.
Tom_in_AZ
I worry about the whole ABS glue idea, as I nearly melted things like time I tried it. Thanks for the suggestions so far, it does give some food for thought.
