Shazbott1540 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Really looking forward to this. Imagine the flood of buckets in the for sale forums when this thing has a list lol.
lonewolf Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Thanks for the great comments guys, I have been working on the jawline, again today, it is a bit longer, the whole build has been an obsessive task, I just don't want to offer something that isn't right, the ABS pinseal is nice and strong, pretty nice to shape and sand. I will try to get a final lid together and see about making a few to sell. Time as always is hard to find, I , like everyone else just wants a nice lid to troop in.
Guest Ogait-Nas Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I haven't seen this thred til today. Congratulations for so magnificent helmet! I'm one of those few people that are interested. (ironic... )
ShaunPug Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 lonewolf, you are seriously amazing for doing this
Chex Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I agree...it's about time someone took the time, and put for some serious effort in giving us a really accurate looking bucket. Just put me on the list when you open one up lol... So..do I need to send you some black abs to get you to make one in black?
Lucky Jack Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Wow !!! That is really fantastic looking - Can't wait to see the next pics !
Darth Voorhees Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 HOLY COW!!! That looks AWESOME! Once your completely happy with this, I am in for one...possibly 2 since the fiance is building a Scout as well! I knowit was mentioned before, but FINALLY someone who got the forehead right! I have an MLC3 on order with my MC armor, and i love the MLC3, but something more accurate, and Vac-formed i am ALL FOR! EXCELLENT work brother!!! I am SO in for this!!
Guest Phrost Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 if youre taking names add mine to that list, dude even if its just a "who's interested" list.. im down!
TK6918 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 So this requires to join a few halves, and use a seam filler, then repaint over the white plastic?
Andrew Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Colour me interested bro. PM me prices if you have anything in mind. oh yeah me too man. sheesh it is beautiful
lonewolf Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 So this requires to join a few halves, and use a seam filler, then repaint over the white plastic? Hi Manny, yes it is a bit of work to do, I agree. I wanted to have a lid that was as true to an original as I could do. Not everyone's cup of tea for sure. A kit form of this lid could really have folks pulling their hair out . The MLC V3 or a finished KS is the answer to most folks prayers.
Chex Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I think the LW helmet is the answer to our prayers.
c0wboi Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Id just like to add that lid looks awesome! Put me on the list for "will gladly buy a finished one"!

Thanks for the honest answer. As an ex ARC trooper clone, I know all about the pains of that. Now I got to decide if I want accuracy or something that will require less maintenance. I don't have the tools or resources like I used to. I will keep monitoring this in the meantime. Thank you for offering this up to the community!
Darth Voorhees Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I think the LW helmet is the answer to our prayers. i second that! yes it is a bit of work to do, I agree. The MLC V3 or a finished KS is the answer to most folks prayers. I have no probelm pulling some hair out for the sake of having a bucket this accurate and being assembled the same as the screen used ones. In my opinion, this is a masterpiece!

lonewolf Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Some updated pics, I have tweaked various parts of the faceplate, KS and SC on either side.
Guest Skupilkinson Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Ooh! Gimme gimme gimme! Honestly mate! Can it get any better??!!
TB-7076 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I just wet my pants....simply gorgeous. I will examine it closely as always but I'm just amazed how pretty and authentic this build came out. Only thing I personally dislike is how the visor seems to fall off the right side but maybe that is due to the mentioned difficulties in assembling the helmet. Definately the right decision to expand the snout and the side view looks much better now that the proportions and alignment of visor and dome got reworked and optimized. If you ask me - the Ferarri among the replica scout helmets out there! I take a bow.
Fettski Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 This lid will be the reason I start my TB costume.
shenphong Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Color me interested, I'm all for kit versions (I love to build them myself...sort of your own touch) and am in need for a helm.
Shyrax Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Add me to the "I gotta have it" list. Awesome job.
Chex Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 It's pretty...it's so pretty! Wantwantwantwant. It's got to be a good feeling hearing all of us drool over your lid, LW. Now make us even happier. No pressure..
Hollywood Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Oh yeah!!!!!! If you ever do a run of completed helmets count me in! 1
