Dart
Really coming along nicely. Interesting point about the dome... And as proof that you've officially blown my mind with this bucket (which I would be overjoyed to own) I was dreaming about it last night. Yup. It's in my head, hahaha! lonewolf
Thanks guys, I plan to raise the dome at least 30mm , I was lucky enough to see the SW in Concert lid first hand in Dublin when we trooped at the event. I am also hoping to drop the base edge about 12mm all round or at least from the visor edge almost to the back. I hope Crazy can get some sleep tonight, your comments are inspiring me! Guest NAZGÛL
Oh, thats looking fantastic! Great skills man!
Dart
Oh, it's not a problem of getting to sleep, it's just that my subconscious really, really wants one of your buckets, hahahaha! I like that you're going all the way with this build in trying to make it the proper size. I think once you've hammered out all the details, people will be scrambling to donate duplicate organs and possibly limbs to get one. Anyone know how much a kidney and a lung go for on the black market these days?
lonewolf
Final touches to Lid number one, I tried to weather it in the same method as the most screen time used version, also known as the Star Wars in Concert lid. The armour is KS and belongs to my CO. who wanted to go dirty for some crazy reason , I hope he likes his new lid. This snout piece was made by DJ who some of the British guys may know. It is pretty good but I had to half fill the exhaust ports and round the aerator a bit, the back plate was a piece of 1.5mm ABS plastic. A bit more tinkering with the molds[ Dread to think how long this will take] and I hope to get a few out to any interested Biker Scouts. Hope you enjoyed the posts. Dart
I guess by now, you KNOW I'm interested! But put me at the bottom of the list for now. Gotta get me a job first.
Chex
D'oh...why must you make me want to spend more money? Outstanding job. If you produce, are you going to do black as well?

Chex
The more I look at it, the more I want one. Not to the dreaming stage yet like Crazy...but yeah...lol
Guest NAZGÛL
I initially hoped to sell some kits but this has taken all weekend to get from sheet plastic to now, with folks complaining about the KS bucket being difficult, I think this build is way beyond many. I totally respect if you dont kit it, but Im sure many like me would love to build it, get to actually build a kit thats constructed like the original, well thats would be really really great IMO. And I think you might reach more ppl that way? Plz, plz plz?

And I think you might reach more ppl that way? That's not a bad idea, actually. That way, if someone has the time/ability/tools to handle this kit, it'd be easier to get a few more out there. Ultimately, it's your call, lonewolf. You're the guy doing all the work!

EG look at all the build up thread among the stormtroopers at the FISD., or the Vader nuts at the prop den, or the Fett guys at the dented helmet. To me its a form of art. Looking at reference till your eyes turn blind, trying to catch nuances and details. Oh man thats so much fun. And afterwards you know every scratch and spot of the bucket, and you did those. That is such a great feeling! Sorry for rambling. Just a topic I love.
TB-7076
I'd even spend some money with the risk to have major headackes for some weeks to get the thing assembled. I waited so long for a better helmet and bought 4 helmets so far!!!! I finally want one that gets beyond DP/Altmann modifications. And "This is it!" I think. As Crazy says - it's you decisison but if you ask me - please go for it
Chex
I say go for it too.
