Long time no speak. Things here in Fl have been busy for me and not in a good way. Had to work a lot more to replace a vehicle that died on me. Anyhoo I have a question regarding rank and unit designations.

Are these allowed on the Scout Armor? If so are there any pic showing how and where to affix them. I looked in the gallery but I could not see anything readily apparent.

What ranks are there for Biker Scouts and what do they look like? As for unit designation as I will be in the Makaze Squad here in Orlando Fl. would I put that or the 501st Pathfinders if I am even allowed to put them on. I am looking to get Lancer status with my armor so I really really want to get this right.

The only "rank" possibly related markings on scout armor are the stripes on the tank. It is believe there was 1-6 stripes. There is no canon based reference to these being rank stripes, but in the film, various scouts had various numbers of the stripes. There are no other rank or detachment or unit designations or markings on the armor except the fish hook on the helmet.

You of course can add personalization after you have completed your costume and had it added to the legion database. A lot of people walk around with custom markings, I know someone with dead ewok kill count stickers on his tank, and I have seen many people with aurbesh writing on chest plates or shoulders or even garrison stickers. Permanent or otherwise. These markings however do make your costume non canon while they are on.

Lancers are not allowed to have unit, detachment, garrison or any other sort of non canon personalization to them.

Good to know. Thanks Witness. You always provide the information we need when we need it. You should setup an information brokerage. LOL

Thank you. Well, I'm working with bluecyclone on getting new and better info in the armory. It's been going a little slow and we apologize for that. I've been terribly busy the last few weeks and am busy again in the next two. We'll have more info up soon. The purpose of these boards is to disceminate information to up and coming Scouts.

  • 3 weeks later...

I'm about to finish up my friend's Scout Armour but I have a question about these rank strips. How long are they supposed to be and how far down from the tank top and how far from the back piece should the first one be? Spacing inbetween? I don't know if these are important questions but I'm pretty O.C.D. about things like this.
