Hey guys, here is an update with my Kash build. After adding the decals and some more minor weathering, my bucket is done. I also got my armor from Mr. B and have already trimmed, sanded, mudded, and am ready to paint.

After the painting, weathering and fitting processes, here are some additional pics of the shoulders and arm pieces:

I am currently working on the ammo pouches (which are cloth). I still have a few more to make but it is coming along slowly. This pic shows the unpainted ammo boxes, cumber bun, and belt.

In addition, I am also working on weathering my boots, my seamless shin armor and am gathering materials for starting the gloves. Hopefully I will be posting some additional progress pics in the near future. This last one is after I got an "itch" to see what it is starting to look like with just a few pieces:008.jpg

More to come................ ;)

I finally see the finish line. I submitted my pics yesterday and am hoping everthing will be approved. I will post additional pics of my completed Kashyyyk once I get word from Carida. This last one is a teaser pic........I stood in front of a black curtain while suited up in my workshop for the first time. I was taking various pictures to be submitted when somebody handed me a weapon.......stick 'em up Wookie!!!!!

Congratulations SWAMP THING!!!

Let me be the first to welcome Kevin Querio, CB - 5761, to the 501st Legion!!! Your build is incredible, and I am honored to have been a part of it --- seeing it from start to finish. Your trooper looks like a battle tested / torn soldier that has stepped right out of the Battle of Kashyyyk and off the movie screen ---> very realistic and detailed. Cannot wait to execute ORDER 66 with you during upcoming missions and troops. Once again welcome aboard.

Hey great build! I was wondering if you could explain what you used to line your armor and how it was done? I'd love to know for armor I'm working on! Thanks!

Hey everybody- I JUST GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!I am extremely excited to finally be a part of the 501st but mostly a part of the elusive, rare KASHYYYK TROOPER. I would like to thank those who also influenced me as I began this quest....... LONESCOUT, DARTH LINDON, MOSI, MR. B (GREAT ARMOR) and the others (you know who you are....sorry if I forgot to mention you specifically).

I promise you guys...........not only will I present a new character (the rare Kashyyyk Trooper) to the 501st family, but it will be done with pride, honor, respect, professionalism, but mostly fun.

As promised earlier, here are some pics of my completed KT :

Here are some pics of my finished costume

HERE IS MY TWIN BROTHER (NO PUN INTENDED) AND MYSELF..........ORDER 66--

My fellow Carida comrads have branded me "WYSEGUY". The "Y" represents the three Y's from Kashyyyk Order. I think I am going to stick with it ( although you can also call me SWAMP THING---thanks Mosi). ANYWAY.......LET THE TROOPING BEGIN!!!! :D

Not to beat up on you or anything because everything looks great, but you may want to snag a set of the British BDUs down the road like all the rest of us have..... then make some correct "boxed" thigh pockets. We will have better continuity this way.

Have fun out there!

Thanks guys.....I will make the adjustments in the near future. I will also try to score some British BDU's as well (as soon as I get some additional cash together.

Zach to answer your question, I went to Lowes and bought some cheap knee pads (they were about 3-4 dollars). I then removed the elastic from the knee pad and glued (combination of hot and epoxy) them to the inside of the shoulder pieces. I had to clamp them down in order to secure them but it is very comfortable once they are in place.
