Hey fellow scouts.

I recently found a website that sold scout armor at a reasonable price since building it is not an option (3 yr old and a 1 bedroom apt never a dull moment). The site claims this set of armor is "... accepted by the "501st Legion" Costuming Club". Now obviously I can't put the link here publicly. But if anyone wants to Pm me for the URL to verify I'd appreciate it. Don't want to drop money without knowing

Thanks

If the initials are SC, then yes. We talk in codes here, SC, MC, KS, MLC...

PM Blue Cyclone, our armorer.......he will be able to give you insight in what you need. The troopers around here are friendly and have a wealth of info.

Take time to read thru the FAQs and browse the forums........I spent several months trying to take all the info in before I settled on actually doing the armor. In the end, it paid off when I started assembling the armor.

With Scouts, there are almost as much soft stuff as armor......that is a whole other set of threads.

Glad to have you around.

J.

Whenever someone claims something is "accepted by the 501st", take it with a grain of salt. Buying a Ferrari might get you into a Ferrari owners club, but simply buying armor doesn't get you into the club. Talking with Bluecyclone gets you going in the right direction. The makers he can recommend are good to great starting points. After that, you still have to assemble and wear the armor properly in order to become a 501st member.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll keep blue cyclone in mind for later. Time to browse the forums! Hopefully I can get everything ordered and assembled before Icon in April :-)

That shouldn't be all too hard. Even if you order stuff in September you'll have a good 7 months of lead time :D
