Prophet106 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 So i've been working feverishly for the past few days on a scout carbine . . . I wanted it to look E-11ish so it 'sat well' with the star-wars universal weapons. The receiver is from an airsoft M4 with the selector switch and forward assist removed. I have also cut down and filled the magazine-well. The stock is a tippmann A5 folding paintball gun stock. I had to dremel the hell out of it to get it to fit. The front end is hand-made from bits i had lying around. Some 40mm pipe, lengths of thin plastic tubing and a few other bits and bobs to make the front-sight/muzzle. Im going to placing some led's on the inside with a few clear bits of plastic on the outside, these will be wired to the trigger. There is also a red laser in the muzzle which will activate when the trigger is pulled It still needs some filling, sanding and painting as well as a horizontal magazine (where the ejection port is). I also have a resin 'tank scope' on the way (same as an E-11) which will be mounted on top. I'll add more progress pics as and when . . .

Prophet106 Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Right . . . Finished the magazine, housing, scope rail and scope. Still lots of filling and sanding to do. Its also going to be much blacker when its finished. The chrome is just a base-coat
BlackDOG Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I really like your magazine...how did you make that? J.
Prophet106 Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 A spare off-cut of wooden decking i had kicking around in the garden Cut it to the right sort of shape, caked it in filler then sanded it down. Dremelled a few grooves in it to make it look 'magazine-ish' and added a few strips of plastic around the base where it meets the receiver to make it look like a magazine-well. Then hosed it down in chrome It'll be a lot darker when ive finished
Prophet106 Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Bit more work done today. Few coats of paint, cleaned up a bit etc. Few greebles added. Its about 90% done
Prophet106 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Posted August 30, 2010 Laser/trigger switch wired up, trigger guard made. Final coat and spray varnish. We're pretty much done !
Spider Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 How the heck do you rig up a laser thingy? I'm dying to build a carbine.
