Guest JDream Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Hi fellow TBs, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but now I am in the midst of building up my KS bucket, and I use Cris' tutorial as a reference. I couldn't help but notice that he puts a strip of white rubber door seal around the back of the bucket, near the neck area, presumably to protect from the sharp edges at the back. I would like to ask if this is acceptable for the Legion? Also, is it screen-accurate? Thanks! :0)
Dart Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 You don't need to put that strip on. On the other side, if you feel it's more comfortable with it on, you can put it on. It's not a deal-breaker either way. It's acceptable for the legion but it's not screen-accurate (as far as we know).
Witness Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Not screen accurate, not Lancer approved. However, some do wear it to keep the back of the helmet from cracking or bending when it rubs on their neck
Guest JDream Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Thanks guys. So do you all put it? Or just leave the bucket as it is?
Arch27 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I don't have one on the KS, and there's no need for it on the MLC I have.
Guest carves Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Keep in mind that in the movie, they do it fast and most people wont noticed it. If in the movie they crack it or break it, they just slap a new ones. However in the real world as we are right now, care and durability is paramount, especially if you are trooping a lot. So we had to choose between durability/comfortable to movie accurate.
Guest JDream Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 OK thanks guys, I know what to do now then! ;0)
VA SCOUT Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 i kept mine on my KS too. i didnt want to take a chance and 99% people out there have no clue whats movie quality is and whats not...plus its clear and you cant really see it
