KS bucket question

Hey guys,

 

I just received my KS kit and all of the parts seem to be good pulls for the most part, except I noticed a bunch of dark raised speckles on the visor. It looks as if there might have been some dust or debris on the plastic or in the molds during molding. They're really small and I'm probably being a little nit-picky, but I wondered if anyone else had seen this before. If so, is it something that a little ABS polish might take care of?

Are they just on the surface or are they part of the plastic? You can try polishing it. Worst comes to worse, you can carefully spot paint it.

Thanks. It's one of my favorite Kenner box art pictures.

 

The specks seem to be little crumbs of crud melted into the plastic. I suppose I could sand 'em and paint the whole bucket like the real props, but I feel like that defeats part of the reasons for getting the KS bucket in the first place.
