Guest 1154
Hey all, Kbeck here. This is what we have so far. Still needs alot of tweakin, but here is are first pull. Kevin made and finished this in about .......12 hours I think. It still has a ways to go but we are on the right track. He is also sculpting the helmet, but that is along ways off. Maybe for comic-con? I dont do the sculpt I just help build and pull the armor. Man its alot of fun. Well enjoy, Kam (Kbeck) (1154)
Scout Officer
Not Bad!...Not Bad at all...it's coming along very nicely. I Hope we do get to see it complete for CCI-San Diego. iTrooper
I think the BARC Trooper is an underated unsung hero. I mean jeez, look at them, they're awesome, they're like Scouts on steriods with all the armor and packs they have.

zollida
Hey Kbeck seriously if the build is fantastic...and suggest that if u can make runs on it...i will be the first to buy from u and ur team... so are u making the full armour...i have actually been researching on the paintwork of BARC...and it seems to me that is panzer color belongs to oak leaf type...see attached pictures lower left large image, ignore the rest of the images i can share more on the color scheme with u for sure...but really keen to acquire one and from the pics. the mastermanship is good. thks zol aka TB3132
TB-7076
The screens I have seen don't show any pattern similar those SS camo patterns as they're more filigrane and use different colours. Even the blurred style ones or the swamp as well as blurred splinter camo of the Luftwaffe units don't match here. ...if any pattern of the axis in WWII then maybe aspects of the italian airborne camo... iTrooper
One thing is for sure, they've gone all pouch crazy with the BARC Trooper, and also the hump & back seems to be one complete piece now.
BrotherHalo
One thing is for sure, they've gone all pouch crazy with the BARC Trooper, and also the hump & back seems to be one complete piece now. I took a BUNCH of screen caps for Army Scout and everyone here - he'll be getting those up soon. The tank and back piece ARE one unit, V'Pier. And WOW, that tank is huge. Wide. Whatever. A lot of the pouches also don't look like they are quite fabric, but rather a rigid box. Some are fabric pouches, but a good portion are just boxes. The cummerbund also doesn't look completely fabric like the scout cummerbund. In fact, it looks somewhat similar to a kevlar vest that cops wear, but with more individual sections, as seen below:

TB-7076
The problem with the digital troopers is that you can't really tell if something could have been meant as fabric or not. In the worst case ILM just didn't care too much if the material is recognizable or not and restricted their CGI to a minimum detail to save time and renderpower. This has a good side and a bad side. The good side is you are free to interprete, the bad side; it will be difficult to make standards for the legion.
zollida
Ya i agree and second that madphisto....and also if u are still keen to make duplicate run on the armour..i will be happy to be fund this operations..lol u know what i meant...we can probably form a whole new world order with BARC... seriously, if u have intention to produce extra,,,, do let us fans know...will be happy to support u... thks don /TB3132

Acrylikhan
I was checking out you photo and I wanted to know... are these reinforcements for the leg area? Maybe like flak padding, or something to perserve the fabric in that area from constant movement. Do you think leather would be good for that area on the flightsuit? - fk
TB-7076
Don't think so. It's the equivalent to the suede riding just not of suede I guess. Look how it behaves in comparison to the armor - also all armor parts of the barc are camouflaged.

Looks like an alternate material inseam, like the suede on the scout. Leather would be alright. Vinyl, to keep it cheaper. Personal preference for whichever you decide! Guest tk465
The problem I see with the chest armor you pulled is the front plate is too tall or long.....you have to remember that the front pouches are much longer and there are more of them to busy up the front so you'll need les of a chest plate to interfere with them....the one I made is pretty small as was commented on by my buddy but if you look at the photos from the screen caps it's pretty close...I'll have to get him to take a snapshot of the chest plate we pulled.
