PGHFett/SGB Lid. Flip Up Face Mod?

Hey guys,

 

I got my helmet today but unfortunately it doesn't slip over my head. Not a fault with the lid at all! Just that my noggin' is too big.

 

So, the best solution I figure is to attempt a flip up mod on the face? I do NOT want to go hacking into this without asking if others have tried it and also find out how they did it.

 

It's a straight forward enough mod to do but I want to do it without too much compromise on the helmet itself and final look if you know what I mean?

 

Any help as always is greatly appreciated.

You could try something similar to this that they do on Clone buckets.

Yep, I've already done that with my Neyo helmet but for this lid I'm weighing up between doing a standard face off mod, or a flip up mod.

Wow them threads even pop up here lol...

Im working on one Kashyyyk helmet, might try the face off flip visor on the next one just to see if it's possible lol.
