Running Work In Progress

This forum is to have a running version of the CRL for the Kashyyyk Trooper costume. There's been discussion running for the past few days in the Detachment Leader forum on the Legion forums about the communication between DLs and GWLs. There seems to be some movement forward with publishing the CRLs finally, but in a new revised uniform format, including pictorial references.

 

I'd like to keep this forum around as a constant work in progress if anything on the Kashyyyk Trooper costume needs updating, revisions, etc.

gotcha, there needs to be some control on some of the cossies out there, mainly the shin and boot armor is what i see as the biggest problems and the cumberbunds and pouches.

i am thinking that we need to get tougher on what is acceptible and what is not. i am thinking we might need to give everyone a one year upgrade period.

 

basicly there are some KT's that are not up to snuff.

 

i want the kt to be as good as the TB's when it comes to approval.

what do you guys think??

I'm all for that, within reason of course. What problems do you see on existing KTs?

well i am too. the main thing is the different colors that we are using. they all need to be uniform. then boot armor. then the cumberbunds.

 

my cumberbund is not good enough , that is why i am making the new version.

the shin armor and the boot armor do not look like KT armor same with lonescout, but lonescout is updating his costume as we speak.

i just wish sci fire would finish there build and start selling kits. the pgh fett helmet is not accurate enough. he has told this to me himself.

 

my helmet and scifires are pretty accurate with sci fires being the most accurate.

No harm done MB, The same person molded our shins! They need to be replaced! I agree everyone should be unifrom as far as the componets of the suit. I am glad your making armor b/c the cost of Scifire when all is done will be more expensive. I don't see a lot of people bying their armor right away compared to yours the way the economy still is. As for pfetts helmet his triangle is diff and he does not have the snout piece like yours (the five vertical lines).

the thing with mike's helmet is , he sculpted it before we had really good top secret reference pics. i have talked to mike about KT helmets. he agrees with what i am saying. i want sci fire to have their helmet done so folks have a choice of armor and helmets. i don't want to seem like i am trying to corner the market or something. but i know what looks right and what does not. mike's helmet does not look right. i am going to do version2 of my helmet shortly because my mold is about shot.

 

but yeah the shin and toe armor is one of my real complaints.

 

also the tank on darth lindon's cossie. the tank is way to low and not the correct shape.

 

i just want the kt's to be as good looking as the TB's.

the main thing is with mike's helmet , is mods will need to be done to it to get it up to snuff. like accurate greebs, and the dome needs to be more rounded instaed of flat and sharp./

 

with those mods it would be acceptable.

For my own personal use I would need a smaller helmet like pghfett/SGB so I don't look like a bobble head..Now I have seen your helmet in person unfinished and I did not get to try it on. It does have more detail (snout, greeblies, etc) and the visor is attached to the helmet. I do like that, were SGB is two pieces. MB once I get up with Darkapprentice then I will try his on for size.

another thing that has been bothering me, the panzer olive green we are using is too dark.
