Grumpy
Hey Skip, How have you been? How's it coming with your Kashyyyk Trooper? Any word on your acceptance yet?
Guest Skupilkinson
Thanks for asking mate. TBH, I lost a lot of love for my KT when I submitted for clearance. I've trooped it once and it's still in the crate. I decided to move on and start my Republic Commando and come back to my KT later on. Truth be told I still have issues when it comes to clearing KT's here in the UK so I doubt I'll bother submitting it in the future. It's a shame but it's how I feel. Grumpy
Hey, no worries there. Take your time. I got rejected on my KT and another costume on the first try. I let mine sit for a few months before I got the kick to get it done. I think your KT was done well. The RC sounds pretty cool, too. Work on that for awhile, and then maybe fiddle with the KT a bit. Cheers buddy!

LENOX61
Skip- I agree with Dan. Hang in there pal! No two Kashyyyk are "completely" identical. I know I am one of the newer guys but I have also studied various stills, articles and damn near memorized the Kashyyk battle frame by frame from the Sith movie in order to get a grip on the character before my build. Where its either the camo pattern, the shade of dye used for the soft armor, or the difficulty of the build, they all appear slightly different . Don't give up. Guest MikeC23
Just a little unsolicited advice.... I can understand your frustration, since you've put so much work into it, but, since you have put so much time into it, I wouldn't quit so close to the finish line. If the lenses are already green, just take another pic that shows that and if you agree that the boots are a pale grey, then modify them as you see them, after the weathering, it's not going to make a difference if it's white, or pale grey, and the gloves could use some work, not that much really, just tighten them up around the edges a bit. I don't think the modifications that they recommended are that excessive. Now, if you do the modifications they required, re-submit and then they still do not approve it based on some other snarky issues they've come up with that they conveniently neglected to mention it the first time around, then I would suspect something hinky. lonewolf
I know that without your extensive research into this costume I would have been completely stumped whilst helping Borotrooper[Michael] with his Kashyyyk Trooper costume. I also know that your costumes are top knotch, you have never sacrificed quality or rushed out any of your costumes. Skip you are Kashyyyk Trooper number 1 over here, you should be very proud of your costume
Guest Skupilkinson
Mike, there was more to it than the changes suggested at the time mate, especially in light of recent events regarding other KT's being cleared in the UKG. I won't go into it here mate and will keep those thoughts to myself. John, that means a lot mate! It really does. I will come back to this cossie eventually mate, it's one of my top 3 SW cossies so I couldn't let it go to waste.

Now I have no dog in this fight, but just out of curiosity's sake, I wanted to see how the color of the boot changes dependent on its surrounding values. So the only thing I changed was the background value, nothing else, from white, to 50% grey, to black... edit: Also, the only white that the color channels are reading, are the very minimal highlights/ shine, that are equally present on the boot, the spat and the toe of the boot armour.
