the CGI camo looks more splodgy than well defined mate

TOms mentioned sponge or brush effect in the past I am sure - rather than air brush I would say

I am dreading this part as well - I am more used to TK and plain white clones

THAT looks much better than just the airbrushed camo. Keep goin' and I'm sure you'll have some great lookin' armour.

Hello Chris,

Berry here from the Dutch Garrison mate! How are you, long time no see ;)

Anyway, to hook in on your clone build and camo.

The bottom left piece looks the best IMO, if you can add more tan and brown on it i think it will look alot better.

Add the tan and brown on where it already is, just make it look sharper like what you did with the green.

Anyway good luck with your build! iam sure it will turn out great!

i agree with subarctic, the cod piece looks the bast so far. ypu have to paint it in layers because if you do not , the paint will not be solid looking.

I do paint i layers.

Firts the basic tan , then light brown, then dark brown and then the dark green.

I just don't seem to pull it off.

This sucks...

what i mean is you have to put on more than one coat of paint for each color. hang in there buddy you will get it. stop trying to paint all the armor. concentrate on one piece and paint it till you are happy with it , then paint the rest.

this is one of the hardest paint jobs to pull off. keep your chin up.

much better. don't be afraid to put some light patches in there. then weather it with black and tan spray paint.

Which do you like best? Left or right?

Just to know what kind of thechnique to use.

i agree i like the foot armor. the smaller sponge works better.

Try to make your cameo job flow...If you look at MB and my armor(just the cameo pattern not the color) the cameo patten

flows and we used to different techniques. Don't be afraid to use a pencil and sketch the cameo job. Also step back from the armor and see were you would need to add color. Have fun with it! :)

What Mrbungle said for the extra weathering technic is "misting" your armor after de camo paint is applied.

You see it alot on Fett armor's, which is a great way to soften the colors up and it will add more depth and finetuning.

Dont spray your paint directly on it but from a long way off, make sure your paint is a cloud of "mist" when it applies with your armor.

I'll bet it will turn out great ;)

New atempt.

I like the left look better, it has a sharper look. I have weathered it to see what effect it has...

PS: I have dyed my undersuit black and my shirt is perfect but my pants are almost completely dark...another small setback but i will not try to change it because one can try forever...

Here is another suprise...

A friend of mine has been working on this after my request.

He made this in a hard foam. We used the measerments Rogue Scout posted here somewhere.

I painted them today in their basecolor just with a brush and Tmiyapaint.

Great thing about this, you can paint them any color you want and you can make the camo fit you armor.

My friend will post on this forum a topic for interest...

Here are they as they are made.

Here are some painted.

By the way, in total they way around 500 grams. They are superlight to attach to your cummberbound. With some velcro and you are done.

Hi, I'm Dimitri (nickname: Strofmos - TR3464)

I'm the one who made these boxes at Chris' request.

I'm going to start a topic in a couple of days, with more information about a run of these

Do you mean the one on the previous page?

And yes, there will be a run.

My friend will start a topic here in the days to come.
