the new MB KST build thread WIP!

Recommended Posts

I can't wait till I get mine, looks absolutely fantastic. The thing that appeals to me that there is still a lot of work to do. Thanks for doing an awesome job on the armor. I have been waiting ages for this kit to come onto the market. Again, top work and full credit to you. Cheers.

Even though I'm not planning on doing one of these costumes, I can appreciate the work you're doing. Magnificent. :) I keep having to remind myself I'm only following this because I want your greaves. I keep drooling over the toe armour and reminding myself that I'm not going that route. Only maybe I will have to, since they're so awesome. :P

how tall are you and what is the measurement from ankle bone to keen cap?? and how big is your calf of your leg? because i made the shins extra wide because of the reference shows they look thick on the barcs. so if i had your measurements i could tell you if they would work for you or not.

I'm 6'1", so I trend toward the larger sizes in this hobby. My shin height is 15" and calf circumference is 16½".

If it comes down to it, I can sculpt my own, but I have no access to forming/casting facilities at the moment. I already have a slowly building backlog of sculpts that need to be made into moulds or bucks, but the nearest person I know for sure does good work in this sort of thing -- and would let me use his setup -- is about four hours away.

no real update, but we are getting closer.

the armor is done for the most part, just going over the parts fixing small details here and there.

i am finally getting all the parts for the vacform table. with some luck i will have it finished this coming week. i am going to order the plastic (hips) mon.

so a prototype pull is just around the corner!!

now if i can just the glove and suit ladies to get those parts done, i would be a much happier camper!

angelo - any word from ur seamtress?

Nate

She hasn't even started the second one we we are working on!... She does all kind of odd and ends of sewing and she is backing out again. We talked and she really doesn't want to put the time in. She stated sewing the elastic takes time and you have to strech it etc. I even ask what she would charge just for 5 of them and she didn't even want to comment! Like I said it was up to her. Sorry! :( Once I have the second one done if anyone knows a top notch seamstress maybe I can consider sending the original one I have as a pattern!
