Guest Productions Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I have been talking to the teacher recently. As I am doing A-level "Product Design" I am going to make a vacuum former big enough for the large armour parts. That way I can make the moulds at home (next year) in my spare time, the form the parts when my former is made. Sound good? Quote
Acrylikhan Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Sounds very good. I've built my own too. Trouble is that we used it at work so much, I had to get new coils and I am starting to mod the oven so that the plastic can droop further. I think I only pulled two of my own armor parts with it, and around 500 parts for work. I shouldn't complain... work is paying for replacement nichrome wire.. Do you already have a set of plans for your table? Quote
Guest Productions Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Nope, as I have to make the plans from scratch to get good marks. Quote
Acrylikhan Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 wow. They're making you work for that grade. Quote
