Lonescout
what is up with the glove greeb??? do you have that molded yet?? I have had my set a month a go! Tom, we were waiting for you to create the two pads on the hand! These are very nice and durable!
mrbungle
i need to know the size of the top of the glove ( hand)to make it.
Acrylikhan
I was wondering if the pad could be made from leather, and then dyed appropriately. The Leather Factory does sell a variety of dyes and leather "paints" for leather working. I'm checking with a leather worker here in Chicago about these gloves. He's very busy, so it might take a while to get in a talk with him about the project. I'm more nervous about the final price! I'm still looking for a tactical glove to mod. The Leather Factory does sell a variety of dyes and leather "paints" for leather working. I went to both Tandy Leather's in my area and should have thought about the type of leather for the gloves. My mind was set on getting the leather for the inside of the thighs. I think that would work with making the pad from leather and dyeing the leather. Both locations do not know of a glove maker in my area!
mrbungle
you guys look like you have this glove thing covered. with the armor build and helmet build and building a vacform table. i don;t really have time to work on glove greebs. Acrylikhan
what do you want to know about fiberglass other than it itches? Not only that... but is SMELLS BAD!!! The resin anyway... A have a few friends that have been repairing airplanes, watercraft, and sports cars, mold making, and making armor for years. They've taken me in, and have completely shattered my conceptions of fiberglassing. They're helping me repair and alter my Kashyyyk armor to fit me better, and to alter for screen accuracy. I've got some nasty stress cracks that I have to reinforce and repair. They've found some bad delamination, so we're working to fix that too. I won't see them until next month for more work to do on the armor, and for fitting. where was I... I got off track, again. Oh, yeah, still waiting for the leather guy to call. Lonescout... do you have something already for the glove?
