What did you use as armature underneath? And do you have any earlier WIP pics?

i used a hard hat that trimmed the top off, a old paintballmask and some sign material i hot glued together then added clay.

SGB i will pm you some of the construct photos when i get home from work.

cool thanks. I had some people concerned that you were adding clay over a pghfett helmet or one of the SFP recast pghfett helmets.

A inside shot of the sculpt now would settle this quickly

And just for the record no one says pghfett is the only one allowed to make this helmet becuase he was the first but we just want to make sure it is indeed an original thats all.Hell Ill even provide as much help to anyone I can during their build.

Thanks for this now are you using two colors of clay as the last pic you have a off white tan colored top section..thats where the rumor came from is in previous pics the clay over the dome especially was real thin in some spots exposing the cream colored area which is the same exact color as the casting material that both I and pghfett use when casting this. I also thought I spotted some red glazing putty on the back in the cream colored area.

Here is what im rambling about

Again thanks and no one was screaming recaster in this situation and no one was accusing you of anytihng just making sure .As an artist im sure you understand.

Thanks for cooperating

And BTW your dog looks guilty as hell

i started with modeling clay (the cream color) and the hardhat was red (the epoxy). then i got a bunch of gray plasti clay.

It's really starting to take shape nicely! I think that the visor part might need some work, but it's shaping up beautifully.
