mrbungle Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 i am currently sculpting my first helmet. the kashyyyk trooper. i am using photos for the reference gallery. it seems to me that the cgi guys that worked on the movie were not that consistant with the helmet design. one frame it looks a certain way and then the next scene it looks different. has anybody else noticed this or have i been looking at the pictures to hard? mainly on the length of the overall helmet and the two backside vents. in pic they appear round and the next the appear squared off. if any one has any better pics of the helmet please PM to me or post them. thanks

Some are wider in the back, others have different caps and other subtle details. I went through the same problem on my helmet build. Finally I settled on building the hero helmet that we see next to Yoda and Gree as that's the only helmet with a clear front and side view in the movie. All the other details sort of fell into place from there.
mrbungle Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 yeah, mine is more of the stunt helmet. and if you look at pghfett's helmet ,his is closer to the hero.
