Peaches_DC
Everything looks really good... I'm just wondering what type of helmet that is? It looks awesome, but I've just never seen that design before... did I miss something? It looks like it would be the final step from Clonetrooper to Stormtrooper in the movies Great Work! mrbungle
did you make the kashyyyk helmet?? i like your work ,looks nice. but i think you need to paint the armor with a kaiki as a base for the camo. JMHO keep up the good work.

Guest skygunbro
Is that the helmet you had Dom Beaudoin buy for you from me which was a pretty shady thing to do BTW or is that one of the recast SFP pghfett helmets?Just to let you know even though the SFP helmet was changed a little here and there its still a pghfett helmet so I hope your not planning on making vac copies of it. Guest nzjedi
This Helmet is all made & sculpt by us . I have all pics of the mold Oops!! Wrong helmet !!! Where are your pictures? I was interested to see how you made the helmet. It looks very familiar. Are you sure you made it?
Peaches_DC
Everyone already knows about the SFP being a recast... don't come into this guys thread and start throwing accusations around. He says he got his K-Scout helmet from SFP. That's your answer. As for the other helmet at the top of the thread, I'd like to see the molds too just to see what you did. That helmet is very cool. Guest Masterson
if you know ,why do you advertise for SFP?? they are the kings of recasters..... Forgive the intrusion of the n00b, but I felt I should intervene. Mr. Bungle - Eldictator did not "advertise" for anyone, nor is he even promoting SFP. He was hounded several times about his helmet and answered. That is all. There was no comment of quality or even solicitation on his part. His post pointed towards proof in his defense. A defense that would not have been warranted had we not aggressed towards him. Is it not possible you all are looking for a victim in a victimless crime? This man has put forth his own work on a project we all hold dear. If I am not mistaken, this thread was started with his armour, not his helmet. He comes to us with no hidden agenda and of his own free will. We have attacked him without provocation and with zero evidence. Does he not at least deserve the respect of silence? Leave the man be. He has committed no crime. Mr. dictator - I would like to put forth my appologies for my collegue's reactions. They are passionate about their work and, as I am sure you would understand, touchy upon this subject. If by chance these allogations are true, keep this information to yourself. If in fact, as I believe, you are innocent in this matter then let none of us speak of it again. This is a friendly gathering of like-minded individuals. Such mediation should not be necessary. Billhag
Dave The trouble is you’ve openly admitted to supporting a re-caster, and the most notorious one at that, so this inevitably throws doubt over what you present as your own work. I’m sorry, but condoning what SFP does and stands for is not right, plain and simple. I’m sorry if this offends you but I can’t help but think of the offence caused to all the talented artists whose work as been stolen by people such as this. Billhag (or all who care to explain) - for my own personal reference (and quite unrelated to this topic) I have a question. As I personally am very new to the 501st and costuming in general, how am I to know a re-caster from an authentic creator? I understand the arguement that stealing another's work and reselling it is evil, and I concur, but as a purchaser of new equipment how am I to know who not to support? Because of this discussion I recently visited the SPF website as I had never heard of them before. Would I, as a new recruit, be scrutinized in my ignorance for supporting such a dastardly company? Could it also not be assumed that this person in his haste did not realize the repercussions of his deeds until after the fact? Remorse does not erase the action, but it does lend to future learning. First of all please post who you are in the newbie section, not in the boot section. As a newbie you need to read...read...read through the threads!. They are their for your guidance and can be informative. If you have a question about a specific armor post it and someone will pm you the appropriate answer. Come on now your not dumb due to your Intellectual response. I am not sure if Eldictator has recast anything or supports SPF but this is how someone like me suffers from having the original Kashyyyk armor and because of a recast. Once that happened then the soft parts were placed on hold and the project died. Several of us have the armor but it's not complete so I have to wait for guys like mrbungle, etc to get the other parts I need and who knows if they are re-caster's unless they prove us wrong like mrbungle did! This is why it is important to ask questions when you may be in doubt because you don't want to fork out hundreds of dollars and be stuck with the armor for almost a year sitting in your closet. Then again if the helmet was not re-casted we would probably a boat load of Kashyyyk troopers already. my 2 cents!
mrbungle
masterson, he did openly incourage people to buy from SFP. on the first page , last post i believe. that helmet (KS) we know is a recast. the one he shows for sale on ebay looks like a recast too. that is the helmet in question. showing some molds is not enough. show some WIP shots. then everthing will be fine. i had to do it to clear my name. on the ks helmet all he had to say was yeah he screwed up and bought from SFP before he knew any better. but no, he had to tell where to get one and the price. if that is not support , i don't know what is. i done , but please do not apoligize for me. As requested, I have placed a post in the newbie section. I appreciate your suggestions and will try to read as much as I can. Now back to the matter at hand - for the Kashyyk armour, I believe its been agreed upon to use HIPS? A friend of mine here in Alpine is starting work on his own molds. I was curious if anyone knows where to purchase the plastics. Are there any recommended retailers (preferably nearby)?

Understood - i stand corrected. Perhaps I give too much leway for the obvious language barrier, but I thought it prudent to step in before the matter got worse. As far as your own work is concerned, I have seen the evidense and must confess you have a natural talent. Have you considered consignment work or selling of your finished goods? Again, forgive the ignorance but what is a "WIP shot"?
